Yellow Springs has a rich and rare collection of unusual shops and galleries. There are no "big box" or chain retailers in the village or nearby. Most places are owned and staffed locally and offer hand-made craft or art objects & accessories, plus imported clothing, jewelry, herbs & spices, organic foods, pottery, stained glass, bicycles, and personal grooming or cosmetic products. There are multiple bookstores, coffee shops, wine stores, a gourmet deli, an independent grocer and too many gift stores to list. Look for walk-in wellness services at Edenworld on Xenia Ave.

The community is family and child-friendly; we're proud of Mr. Fub's Party (one of the most unusual and creative toy stores around) and Blokhedz, an independent, local hobby store dealing in toy construction sets & building blocks. Superfly Comics is a "fully awesome full-service comic & game shop" that teens will enjoy.

Almost all of the retail business is in the walkable downtown business district of Dayton St., Corry St., and Xenia Ave. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce office in the restored train station for more visitor information.
